Finding a career that you like and enjoy can be hard to do, especially when you have no idea what you want to do. After studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science for two years which I ended up not liking any more, I decided I would take another gap year of 12 months where I could find myself again and revaluate what I wanted to do in life… well what a waste of time it is.
I had the dream of taking 12 months off, find a job and study a few Tafe courses to help pass the time and get a little bit of money in my pocket. All I have done so far is study and have to find a job (20 of them a month) to satisfy my job seeker requirements for Centrelink. I can understand having to find the jobs but in a small town like the one I live in, finding a job is not easy.
My town is a place where you get a job from the people you know not from what you know, which makes things very difficult when you are a 22 year old with absolutely no qualifications that mean anything to get a job and no real experience to satisfy someone hiring me.
This has brought me to my current situation, going back to uni to study a Bachelor of Community and Human Services but online. This would allow me to study for a qualification and allow me to have formal qualifications in a particular area.
I am looking forward to my next adventure.
Til next time,
